The conference explores the many beautiful connections between Poisson geometry, Lie theory and symmetry.
Poisson geometry and Lie theory are related branches of differential geometry, which are both deeply motivated by their applications to classical and quantum mechanics. A unifying feature is the important role symmetry plays in the study of such systems.

We have invited over twenty prominent experts to share their cutting edge research at this conference, and there will be a poster session.
The theme of the conference is inspired by the 60th birthday of Professor Rui Loja Fernandes, who has made great contributions to this topic throughout his career.
