From 7th September until 12th September 2014, the Department of Mathematics of the University of Coimbra will hold the I Iberian Modelling Week.
This project is aimed at University students in Mathematics and intends to give them the experience of working in mathematical modelling under the supervision of a specialized teacher. In this way, they will have the opportunity to approach identical problems that they might find on the marketplace, as well as to develop their teamwork skills, critical thinking, rigour and scientific communication. Additionally, we want to raise awareness of the companies to the contribution that mathematicians can give to the industry.
This event is organized by NEMAT and LCM.
