Carla Rizzo, a postdoctoral researcher at CMUC, has been selected to participate in the 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF), scheduled for September 2022. This prestigious event brings together 200 carefully selected young researchers in mathematics and computer science to engage with laureates of the fields, including recipients of the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize.
The HLF event has been organized annually since 2013 by the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation and aims to foster interaction and exchange among participants through various formats such as lectures and panels, master classes and workshops, poster flash sessions and career guidance. Laureates deliver lectures on their chosen topics, sparking intensive discussions with the young researchers, and making the forum more of a networking event than a traditional scientific conference. This setup is designed to motivate and inspire the next generation of scientists.
