A tour on quantum topology and categorification

Description:

Quantum topology is a generic term used to designate algebraic-topological constructions that are, in some broad sense, close to the Jones polynomial and its variants.
In this talk, I will give an overview of topological quantum invariants and their categorification, from their historical origins with the Jones polynomial to modern developments. I will introduce the main concepts and present several examples, highlighting their multidisciplinary impact within contemporary mathematics.
